Our Sequim Farmer’s Market is open and running for the summer. We’re so excited to try out our new location! During the last year, the city built a new civic center featuring a beautiful plaza and a true work of art – a totem pole which tells the story of "Why the Sun Always Shines in Sequim."
We’re thrilled to move from our former location in the dirt lot adjacent to “Over the Fence.” Added pluses are that all the market vendors are now together in one location, which also accommodates folks who need assistance in getting around, via canes, walkers, or wheelchairs. For us, it’s especially nice not having to dust all our products at the end of the day.
The year 2017 is shaping up to be a particularly fun year for us. One of last week’s customers was looking for smoked pepper. I’m not familiar with that particular item so, thanks to Google, Shannan and I spent some time researching. A bourbon smoked pepper was particularly intriguing, and we actually discovered several options.
So we’re off to the “laboratory” for some experimenting. Time to add some new spice to our lives! Dungeness Gold has provided so many learning experiences for both of us. The best bonus is the people we’ve met, both colleagues and customers.
